Tour of the main areas

14th Political Prison

14th Political Prison

High

Northwest · formerly NK

A huge walled prison on a plateau in the northern woods, gate to the south and barracks to the east. Inside the yard sits the Y-shaped Citadel: gantries, a furnace and a maze of cell blocks.

Chang-san Air Base

Chang-san Air Base

Critical

West · formerly NK

An air base built into a granite hillside hiding a bunker network bigger than the base. Hospital, helipad, runway and barracks; recon teams got in from the raised woods to the south.

Air Base ExteriorChang-san Air Base Bunker
Deadtown

Deadtown

Low

Southwest · formerly NK

An abandoned farm town taken over by the army, with sewers linking key buildings. Street fights, with tougher targets in the two Re-Education Centers; a clinic and two gas stations.

Deadtown ExteriorRe-Education Center
Imjin Farmland

Imjin Farmland

Low

South-Southwest · formerly SK

Open rice fields, canals and rail lines around a giant Rice Mill that overlooks everything. Little cover and long sightlines, so watch for vehicles.

Cheongun Village

Cheongun Village

Low

North · formerly SK

The northernmost point on the Hajin River between the Russian and South Korean border posts. Dominated by the Heavenly Luck Casino: floors of halls and an underground lot with no power, so bring NVGs.

The largest telecom array in Hajin on a flat summit. Buildings turned into enemy barracks, with a rooftop helipad and long views.

Haneul Nuclear Reactor

Haneul Nuclear Reactor

High

Northeast · formerly SK

Heavy radiation around the site, worst inside the breached Reactor 02; radiation gear and a gas mask are a must. Possible routes in by water or a tunnel from Compound Delta.

The Grid

The Grid

Critical

Central Hajin City · formerly SK

The business district walled off with steel, razor wire and watchtowers. Home to the DBN tower (tallest in Hajin), Hanex Bank, the deadly Nenshin complex and Hotel Lucera. Fights on rooftops and in the streets.

HOSTILES & THREAT

Enemies & threat

Hajin is full of fixed and roaming patrols from a secretive North Korean faction. Depending on how much trouble you cause, they ignore you, search for you or attack.

T1GruntsUnarmored North Korean soldiers.
T2Armored SoldiersSame soldiers, now in armor.
T3Armored, Gas MaskedArmored and gas masked; hard to drop.
T4Faceless ArmoredThe toughest infantry, fully armored.

KK9 QuadrupedsFour-legged robots, usually underground.
HHelicopter PatrolsAttack helicopters patrolling the area.
CRoad ConvoysArmed vehicles on the main roads.

Threat level

LowMediumHighCriticalExtreme
  • Every area has a Threat level shown under the compass; higher means more and tougher enemies.
  • Other players are not counted, so stay alert.
  • Melee, throwing knives and suppressed shots keep things quiet; breaking contact calms the area.
  • Fill the hostiles kill counter and a Hunt Squad is sent after you.

MISSIONS & BOSSES

Missions & bosses

Story Missions

Set at points of interest for squads or solo, advancing the DMZ story with high-value gear, cash and milestone rewards.

Dynamic Operations

Multi-step objectives generated each match. Every completion drops a Supply Drop of rising rarity.

Free Roam

No mission: hunt rivals, scavenge, chase Lieutenants or crack the casino vault.

Side Ops

Repair trucks, recover lost supply drops and climb radio towers.

LIEUTENANTS

Lieutenants

  • Buy their intel at the Boss Board with DMZ Cash; it lasts one deployment.
  • Each one drops a rare iconic weapon, sometimes a key to a locked loot room.
  • Their Dog Tag Case reveals your position and must be extracted to progress the Boss Board.
  • Hunt Towers on the Tac Map reveal the nearest Lieutenant.

What each HUD element shows

1Tac Map

Objectives, POIs, threat zones, enemy compounds, key buildings like Police Stations, Clinics, Gas and Fire Stations, ammo and armor caches, radiation spread, your position, nearby hostiles and pings.

2Time Remaining

When the radiation storm intensifies. As it worsens, find an exfil before you get stuck somewhere too hostile to survive.

3Objectives

On the left: Story Missions, Dynamic and Side Ops for you and your squad.

4Compass

Bearing from 1 to 360 degrees and the name of the POI you are in.

5Threat Level

Under the compass when you enter a new POI. Rises as you fight tougher enemies and calls reinforcements; break contact and take cover to drop it.

6Hostiles Kill Count

Hostiles eliminated this deployment. When full, a Hunt Squad is sent and you are Marked for Death.

7DMZ Orders

On the right and in the Tac Map: the DMZ Order you are working on and its steps.

8Squad HUD

Each squadmate’s portrait, color, number, name, health, plates, and downed/wounded/dead state, plus temporary health from painkillers.

Ammo in mag and reserve, fire mode, rarity and attachments, plus your secondary and its ammo.

13Equipment & Fire Support

Melee, tactical and lethal with remaining counts, plus your equipped Field Upgrade and Fire Support.

LOOT & COMMS

Looting & comms tips

  • Keys open special loot rooms; each key’s description gives its grid square.
  • A door locked from the inside means there is another way in.
  • In rural and wooded areas, look for underground entrances.
  • Each successful Dynamic Op in a deployment raises the rarity of the next Supply Drop.
  • Open every cache, locker, crate and supply box you pass.
  • The FOB 3D Printer hints where the materials you need are likely found.
  • Don’t only loot: balance objectives, combat and loot to earn an S rating.
  • The Ping wheel lets you request a truce or join another squad without voice chat.
Backpack menu

Review what you carry, move items into your loadout, or use them directly like bandages and armor plates.

Tac Map

Open it to see objectives, DMZ Orders and key locations, and ping for your squad.

EXFIL & LOCATIONS OF INTEREST

Exfil & locations of interest

Exfils

Marked by green smoke. Call the Twin Heli and hold until it lands, or use a Fulton balloon or a flare. Other squads ambush here, and flares are loud and visible from afar.

Ammo & Armor Caches

Refill ammo and grab Armor Plates; they go on cooldown after use.

UAV Towers

Activate one to finish a Side Op, earn cash and pulse nearby Operators and enemies.

Lieutenant Hunts

Climb the comms tower and use the laptop on top to locate the nearest Lieutenant.

Compounds

Fortified military sites with better loot, intel and vehicles like the LTV. Stealth beats going in loud.

SAM Sites

Hack the computer and defend it; the battery then targets enemy aircraft, great against Deathstalkers.

Bounty Stations

A laptop to review Bounties or pay off your own.

Gas Stations

Repair and refuel ground and air vehicles, and refill Gas Cans.

Marine Gas

A small jetty with two pumps for boats.

Fire Stations (red)

Search for Radiation Gear and Parachutes.

Police Stations (blue)

Military gear and a locked Armory.

Clinics (green)

Medical loot; watch for ambushes.

Tip: building colors help: red for fire stations, blue for police, green for clinics.

HAJIN VEHICLES

Vehicles

DMZ vehicles have limited armor and fuel; repair and refuel them at Gas Stations (not needed in Warzone).

CamperGround

Camper

An unprotected, unarmed wagon to get the squad around.

SedanGround

Sedan

A compact civilian car: quick to get around, not for combat.

GrizzlyGround

Grizzly

A light, agile Soviet-style 4x4 built for hit-and-run.

DreadnoughtGround

Dreadnought

An Aston Martin tactical SUV with strong armor, speed and off-road grip.

Polaris Dagor A1Ground

Polaris Dagor A1

An off-road platform that carries a full squad and gear.

LTVGround

LTV

A light combat vehicle with an optional mounted .50 Cal.

Cargo TruckGround

Cargo Truck

A diesel truck with a two-seat cab and a flat bed.

D50 Radar FlatbedGround

D50 Radar Flatbed

The same truck with a vehicle-mounted UAV.

TrainRail

Train

An automated train through southern POIs; not player-driven.

TramRail

Tram

A slow monorail circling Hajin City; not player-driven.

RHIBWater

RHIB

A fast special-operations inflatable boat.

HeliAir

Heli

A twin-engine helicopter you can fly.

MonarchAir

Monarch

The infil and exfil heavy-lift helicopter; not player-flown.

BOUNTIES · HUNTERS & KILLERS

Bounties: hunters & killers

KILLERS

Killer

  • Your first player kill puts a Bounty on you, and it grows with every kill.
  • Four kills makes you Wanted and nearby Operators get alerted; the top tier is Most Wanted.
  • You lose it if you die, fail to exfil, or pay it off at a Bounty Station.

HUNTERS

Hunter

  • Buy a Wanted target's location at a Bounty Station; higher levels cost more.
  • Kill the target and extract with their Dog Tag to collect.
